MS17 has been developing the concept for public art installations in the open spaces at Harris Place since 2008. The Atrium at Harris Place Public Art Initiative was founded in May 2014. Its' first project the Engaging Space / Liriodendron, installation by Mark Gerard McKee and Joseph Butch Rovan officially opened to the public on September 27, 2014.
The ultimate goal of the project is ongoing presentation of temporary installation art utilizing the Atrium open space. MS17 will review project proposals from accomplished international artists, by invitation and open submission.
